This project was a commission to provide a cover image for an ISRF journal focusing on Visual Culture. The core theme of the journal centered on modern flâneurs and their role in understanding the day-to-day experiences of people in urban environments through photo-journalism.

My approach to this image was to mimic the sight-lines of light within an eyeball, providing a framing for my illustration while leaving plenty of room for the trade dressing. I composed an urban background from my own experiences in Hong Kong, South-East Asia, and Europe, creating a skyline that spoke multiple architectural languages. The characters were shown to be collaborating and enthusiastic, demonstrating the optimism of this particular kind of community reporting.
